Private Coaching Policy

Thank you for your interest in Private Coaching through Tools for Connection. This work is designed to be structured, thoughtful, and supportive, with clear boundaries that protect both the coaching process and our time together.

Overview

  • Private Coaching is a structured, one-on-one service for adults who want support in connection, personal growth, and aligned living.

  • Sessions are held virtually over Zoom and are 50 minutes long. Weekly scheduling is encouraged, since the material builds over time and regular practice supports the process.

  • Private Coaching is not an open-ended support format. Coaching follows a structured Tools for Connection approach, which includes learning and practicing specific tools.

  • After each session, clients will receive a personalized session summary, along with PDFs for any new tools covered in session. These will be delivered through the client’s personal folder before the following session.

Who This Is For

  • Private Coaching is available for adults age 18 and older only.

  • Clients must book their own sessions and consent to the service themselves. Coaching is intended for people who want support with their own personal growth, connection, clarity, trauma support, relationships, aligned decision-making, life transitions, boundaries, self-trust, and related areas of personal development.

Coaching Format

Tools for Connection offers two private coaching formats:

  • Coaching Packages

Each coaching package is designed as a structured course that teaches a specific tool and is offered at a package rate. While most clients complete the course within the number of sessions included in the package, some may require additional time to fully learn the tool. If so, the course may continue at a prorated weekly rate based on the package pricing until the tool has been fully learned.

  • Monthly Sessions

Monthly sessions are available for clients who have completed a course and want continued guided practice, or for clients who want support practicing smaller tools one-on-one rather than purchasing and practicing them independently.

Fees and Payment

  • Private Coaching is offered at the rates listed on the website.

  • Payment is due at the time of booking, either in full or through the approved payment plan.

  • Unused package sessions expire six months after purchase.

Refund Policy

  • If a client chooses not to continue, misses sessions, or does not use their sessions within the required timeframe, unused sessions are forfeited and are not refunded. If the client is on a payment plan, remaining scheduled payments are still due according to the agreed payment schedule.

  • If I choose to end the coaching relationship, I will refund any paid, unused sessions. Exceptions may apply in cases of abusive behavior, repeated policy violations, missed payments, or other serious boundary concerns.

Scheduling and Rescheduling

  • Sessions are booked through this website.

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will forfeited.

  • Emergency exceptions may be made at my sole discretion.

  • If I need to reschedule a session, I will do my best to provide the same level of notice. I will not teach while sick and will reschedule as needed.

Late Arrival and No-Show Policy

  • Sessions begin and end at the scheduled times.

  • If a client arrives late, the session will still end at the original scheduled time and will be charged as normal.

  • If a client is more than 15 minutes late without communication, the session will be forfeited.

  • If a client communicates that they are running late, I am happy to use the remaining session time.

Communication Between Sessions

  • Private Coaching does not include between-session email support, other than the session summary email that you will receive after each session.

  • A separate email support package is available for clients who want that level of access.

  • Administrative or scheduling communication is welcome, but coaching support between sessions is not included unless otherwise stated.

Scope of Service

  • Private Coaching is centered on learning and practicing the Tools for Connection framework in a structured, guided format. This work is primarily focused on teaching the tools themselves and supporting clients as they use them for reflection, connection, clarity, and aligned action.

  • Because the tools are largely self-guided and do not rely on advice-giving, coaching may be used in connection with a wide range of personal topics, experiences, or life circumstances. These may include areas such as relationships, emotional patterns, communication, boundaries, decision-making, life transitions, trauma-informed personal growth, and other forms of personal reflection or inner work.

  • While I may work with clients bringing many different kinds of topics into the process, Private Coaching is not presented as specialized treatment for every issue, and I may recommend outside support if I believe a client would be better served by a therapist, doctor, crisis service, or another qualified professional.

Not Therapy or Crisis Support

  • Private Coaching is not therapy, medical care, mental health treatment, legal advice, financial advice, or crisis support. It is not a substitute for licensed professional care.

  • If you are in crisis or need urgent support, please contact 911 or your local emergency services, or seek help from an appropriate licensed professional or crisis resource.

Client Responsibility and Results

  • Coaching is a collaborative process. Results are not guaranteed.

  • Client progress depends in part on honesty, participation, personal responsibility, follow-through, and willingness to practice what is being taught. Private Coaching is designed to provide structure and support, but each client is responsible for their own decisions, actions, and outcomes.

Spiritual Language and Client Preference

  • Most Tools for Connection practices include spiritual or faith-based language. When relevant, we will discuss this together and adapt the wording to language that resonates with the client while preserving the core practice.

  • For example, a client may prefer language such as meditation, grounding, steadiness, reflection, or another meaningful alternative. Spiritual content is client-led and adapted for comfort and fit.

Privacy

  • I will treat client notes and session information with care and keep them private.

  • Session notes are kept on my computer and are intended only to support the coaching process. These notes do not typically contain highly sensitive information, and I do not provide any special security guarantee beyond ordinary personal handling.

  • Client payment details, website account details, and other platform-managed information are handled by third-party services such as Squarespace and Google and are subject to those platforms’ privacy and security practices.

Zoom and Technology

  • Clients are responsible for attending sessions from a private, quiet setting whenever possible, using a reliable internet connection, and being ready with the basic technology needed for Zoom.

  • Sessions may not be attended while driving.

  • If Zoom or technology fails in a way that prevents the session from continuing, I will email the client to reschedule the unused portion of the session at no additional cost.

Materials and Use of Tools

  • Clients will receive PDFs and written materials as part of coaching. These materials are for the client’s personal use only.

  • Tools, PDFs, and other original materials provided through Tools for Connection may not be copied, reproduced, shared, distributed, resold, or republished without written permission.

  • Clients are welcome to share their own session summaries or personal reflections if they choose.

Agreement

By booking and paying for Private Coaching, the client confirms that they are age 18 or older and agree to this policy.
